Vintage Inspired Luggage

Oh how I love, love, love old luggage. They are like little songs to me. Where did they take their previous owner? What seas and countries have they crossed? What stories have they been witness to? I am telling you, they have some dang good stories. I have an incredibly difficult time time passing by luggage in a thrift shop as made evident by the fact I have eight of these beautiful vessels. I decorated my son’s room with old luggage and vintage inspired travel posters- kind of a “get ready, pack your bags, you are going places, kid” theme. But they don’t carry that collection at Pottery Barn.

I fall in love with this luggage from Steamline every time I see them. Can you imagine going on a fabulous vacation packing and folding your hopes, plans and clothes into one of these? I am pretty convinced in 50 years someone is going to pass that in a thrift store and go “I bet this guy has been some pretty fabulous places”. And they are going to be right.
