You will be pleased to know that I have been hard at work on my pantry re-do. And it is coming along quite nicely! In fact, you may find me at any given moment standing in my kitchen and gazing lovingly inside of the pantry door. I am THAT happy with the progress so far. Although my husband is finding my adoration a little weird I think. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t complete this project sooner since it is making me like my house more than ever before. The only things I have left to do are to get these containers from Ikea for dog food and recycle bins and to track down three wire baskets to neatly store food items that don’t have a place in my glass or plastic canisters. And the final stage will be painting the chalkboard door. Other than that it is sorted, organized and getting pretty. Since I am on a home organization kick lately, here are three other super affordable ideas that I plan on implementing in my house (found via Pinterest).
Weekly Calendar Printable from Jones Design Company- Remember the DIY memo board I shared with you on Monday? Well I spotted this awesome weekly print out to hang up on it and keep all my reminders in one easy to see spot. I love that is has a spot for tasks, card reminders and prayer requests. I also adore the chevron print of course.
Jewelry Storage- This would be an extremely easy and cheap project! Simply using a wooden cutlery organizer, painting it, screwing in some door knobs and mod podge-ing pretty paper inside- you’d have a custom place to keep your bracelets and necklaces. I desperately need to do this. My necklaces often find themselves in a huge tangled clump. I even think you could kick this project up a notch by attaching some molding around the frame and mounting it on a wall.
Ribbon Storage- You can’t even begin to know how much I need to do this. I have a ribbon problem. One that overflows from boxes. I don’t even know how much ribbon I have and I can never seem to find what I am looking for since it is such a mess. Using a hanging pants organizer to display it all is genius!
I love how all of these ideas are totally do-able and not too expensive. Sometimes organizing can seem so overwhelming but breaking it down to little projects like these makes it seem more realistic. Do you have any easy home organizing solutions to share with me?
