After yesterday’s pyromaniac-esque post I am all inspired by fire. So, readers, you are going to benefit from my attempt to keep up a healthy outlet for my love of fire. I always have a candle burning on the stovetop; usually it is one from Walmart or HomeGoods. However, one of my biggest indulgences is a Voluspa Candle from Anthropologie. There is no other candle for me.  Every year for my birthday I trot into Anthro and use their little birthday card coupon (which are always so dang cute, no?) on one of these beautiful things. I think the sweetest thing my husband has done for me lately was noticing I was out of my Walmart variety and stopping into Anthropologie and buying one of these for me.  It really was sweet.

I am going to pay it forward and give one away.

Here are the descriptions from Anthro’s, which are a touch ridiculous, but just go with it:

Goji Berry: cold-pressed tarocco orange blended with sun-dried goji berries

Can you believe it is March? Yes, it is the wonderful month that hosts the day celebrating bafflingly misguided patriotism to Ireland. Yes, I am speaking of St. Patrick’s Day. A long, long time ago I went to Ireland with my Mom and grandparents. It was one of the most treasured experiences of my life. I will always keep those memories in my heart. During the trip my mom and I took a train down to Dublin and stayed a couple of days. It was there I fell in love with two things: Guinness and a little shop called LUSH.

So, it’s February… which means it is time to shower those you love with lovely things… time to express what may go unannounced throughout the year… time to give and receive affection. And don’t think I am simply referring to my cute, Pride & Prejudice-watching husband. Although, side note: Did I tell you he asked to watch it this past weekend? I know, husband jackpot. Sometimes I feel it’s unfair, but at the same time, I am such a joy to live with all. the. time… he pretty much scored as well.
